This pink leather dress was made in South Korea, but was rather ordinary. New York designer extraordinaire Brenda Brunson Bey added pink snakeskin to the hem and sheer flounced fabric. Also she used some of the same sheer fabric and pink snakeskin to create straps.
While shopping for clothing, I make a conscious effort to question the origin and whether slave labor was used to dye the leather, grow the cotton, silk, etc. and if enslaved people were forced to make the garment. Having researched the worst offenders according to United Nations’ data, I avoid those products.
