Laughter triggers the release of endorphins, the body’s natural high. Exercise is another way to release endorphins, which reduce perception of pain and like laughter, makes you feel good.
When I read messages from fans who tell me they got up and started dancing when they heard my song “We like to have FUN” or that they smiled and laughed when they watched my music video, it fills my heart with joy. I love to hear good news that people are finding ways to have fun in these stressful times.
Dr. Konstantinos Petsanis, M.D., neurologist, confirmed: “We know that stress kills, first of all because it provokes two things, vaso-spasm in the vascular system and immunodepression, the suppression of the immune system.” (World Health Organization) So many people are suffering from anxiety and depression due to Covid 19 related illness, fear of infection and loneliness. Add unemployment to the mix, and you have a recipe for implosion or explosion. The reason I released my happy, uplifting “feel-good” song “We like to have FUN” and the comical “We like to have FUN” music video is to inspire people to laugh, dance and have fun.
“I don’t need diamonds or pearls
Don’t need to travel around the world
Got shiny stars in the sky
Close our eyes and fly
Kissing you bye bye
Magic in your eye
Makes me feel high
Rolling on the floor
Dancing at the door
Makes me want more and more
We like to have FUN
We like to have FUN
On the beach
Shower with peach
Soap and I hope
When I lay my body down
You will be around
To watch me when I sleep
So simple yet so deep…”
One Love…
Aria
