Thanks and One Love to all my supporters and fans who have encouraged me on this social justice journey to #StopSlavery. Someone called my efforts “noble” while another wrote that I was “at best idealistic and at worst a fool.” I am merely an artist who uses music to spread the message of LOVE, PEACE and JUSTIICE.
Today was a good day. Had a great rehearsal and got several emails stating that they were checking out International Justice Mission’s website https:ijm.org and were considering making a donation before the end of the year. So, as I write this blog, I am wearing a SMILE and a cotton, black and white embroidered dress made in USA and purchased in San Diego, Cali during the last National Association of Recording Merchandisers (NARM) music convention that I attended.
Like my song “SMILE” says: “I don’t wanna cry; SMILE, it’s a natural high…”
I pray that God blesses those who have given and also those that wanted to give but had nothing to give.
